DELIVERY FEES:

In the Shop you may select the type of delivery required.

Standard Delivery   NZ Parcel Post Track & Trace. Allow 2 to 4 working days. A base rate (set by NZ Post) applies determined by the size of order.

Overnight Delivery An extra $2.00  fee applies for NZ Courier Post  OVERNIGHT Track and Trace without a signature (NOTE: Overnight delivery is not guaranteed and is a target set by NZ Post. Only applies to major towns and cities.

Rural Delivery An extra $3.70 fee applies for Rural Delivery. Overnight delivery not available.


All delivery fees are charged at cost. There are no handling fees.



APPLICATION TOOLS PROVIDED IN KITS: 

The project/substrate type determines which type of applicator tool is used. 

EVERBRITE Kits 

Sponge Brushes Supplied in Everbrite Starter kits. Used to apply coating on small items and on narrow profiles such as joinery. Sponge brushes do go soft after awhile.  A sponge brush can be wrapped in aluminium foil for short term protection to stop  it from going hard. Do not use plastic film to wrap. Discard sponge brushes after the job is finished. Do not try to clean with Xylene Solvent.

25mm Everbrite compatible Paint Brush  Supplied in Small, Medium and Large kits. This synthetic brush has been tested by Everbrite NZ. It is compatible with the Everbrite Protective Coating and provides a superb finish. The brush can be wrapped in aluminium foil for short term protection to stop it going hard. Do not use plastic film to wrapNote: You will require Xylene Solvent to thoroughly clean the brush. NOTE: Many synthetic brushes are not compatible with Everbrite Coating.

OPTIONAL: Round (Large Size with hand gusset) Applicator Pad   Purchased separately for Medium and Large Everbrite kits - A round applicator pad with hand gusset is ideal for applying Everbrite coating to large areas like garage doors and around cylindrical fence poles and banisters, guttering etc.  Applicator pads can be wrapped in aluminium foil for short term protection to stop them from going hard. Do not use plastic film to wrap. Discard pads after the job is finished. Do not try to clean with Xylene Solvent.


PROTECTACLEAR Kits

Ideal for small items like jewellery and touch ups. Sponge Wedges do go soft after awhile.  A sponge wedge can be wrapped in aluminium foil for short term protection to stop  it from going hard. Do not use plastic film to wrap. Discard sponge wedges after the job is finished. Do not try to clean with Xylene Solvent.

Round White (Medium Size) Applicator Pads Supplied in Small, Medium and Large Protectaclear Kits. (The Starter Kit does not contain enough coating to use an applicator pad)  A round white applicator pad is ideal for applying coating to cylindrical items like fence poles and banisters, and wider panels.  Applicator pads can be wrapped in aluminium foil for short term protection to stop them from going hard. Do not use plastic film to wrap. Discard pads after the job is finished. Do not try to clean with Xylene Solvent.


OTHER SUITABLE APPLICATION TOOLS:

- High density foam roller

- A pad of folded lint free white cloth. (an old white T-shirt cut into strips)

- A NEW natural bristle brush can also be used on substrates like rusted corten steel.  

If spraying use a high volume low pressure unit with a fine tip. Satin finishes must be stirred extra well prior to spraying.


WARNING:  Never use an applicator tool or brush that has been previously used to apply other paints or coatings as the smallest amount of residue will contaminate the coating..

SOLVENTS & CLEAN UP:

Methylated Spirits (100% ethanol) or Acetone or Xylene Solvent can be used as a solvent wipe prior to coating anodised metals and bare metals such as copper. mild steel, stainless steel, bronze, corten steel etc. 

Methylated Spirits can also be used to remove wet coating from surfaces. (e.g. glass) 

Xylene Solvent can be used to clean up spray tips, paint brushes (meths is not strong enough) and to remove a cured/dry coating. Do not use Xylene on plastic substrates.
