Everbrite Protective Coating

Everbrite Inc. manufactures formulations for different surfaces and conditions; protecting metals and other hard surfaces from tarnish, rust, corrosion, fading, chalking, oxidation and UV rays. Sealed surfaces are cleaned up easily with mild soap and water. Metals stay cleaner longer, show less fingerprints and will be much easier to maintain with less effort and time. To decide which coating you need use our Comparison Table or contact us if you need advice. Everbrite is available in different sized cans/kits to suit all projects and  has an indefinite shelf life when stored correctly in its can.

Everbrite Protective Coating has extra U.V. blockers and anti-oxidants in it to prevent chalking, fading, oxidation and corrosion.
A tough, clear protective coating that will bring back the colour and lustre of old, faded powder coated or painted metals and protect from the damage that the sun, salt air, acid rain, moisture and other damaging elements can cause. It is best for painted or powder-coated coloured metals, rusted steel architecture, copper roofs and copper exterior fittings, and fibreglass. (Pencil Hardness of H4)

APPLICATION TOOLS:  The project type determines the kind of applicator required. 
Applicator Pads
Our round applicator pads (with hand gusset for easy grip) are ideal for coating large areas like garage doors and around round fence poles and banisters, guttering etc. As an option an applicator pad can be included in the Medium or Large Kits. Applicator pads that have been soaked in coating can be wrapped in aluminium tinfoil for short term protection to stop it from going hard. Do not use plastic film to wrap. Do not try and clean the pad with xylene. Discard pads after the job is finished or when it becomes too soft to use..
Sponge Brushes
For narrow profiles you can use a sponge brush although these tend to go soft after 2 or 3 windows. Two (2) x sponge brushes are included in the Starter Kit. Extras are available for $2.50 each; or from craft / hardware stores. Sponge brushes soaked in coating can be wrapped in aluminium tinfoil for very short term protection. Do not use plastic film to wrap. Discard sponge brushes after the job is finished.
Paint Brushes
If you are coating a lot of window joinery we recommend using the Everbrite compatible 25mm paint brush (which is provided in the medium and large kits ) 
Please note that this synthetic brush has been tested by Everbrite in New Zealand and it provides a superb finish. A paint brush that has been soaked in coating can be wrapped in aluminium tinfoil for short term protection to stop it from going hard. Do not use plastic film to wrap. Note: You will require Xylene Solvent if you wish to thoroughly clean the brush after you have finished your project. 
Other application tools
Other application tools can be a high density foam roller or pad. If spraying use a high volume low pressure unit with a fine tip.

SOLVENTS & CLEAN UP: Solvents are not included and are available from your local hardware store. 
Methylated Spirits or Xylene Solvent or Acetone can be used as a solvent wipe on anodised aluminium, bare metals and rusted corten steel just prior to coating application 
Methylated Spirits can also be used to remove wet coating from surfaces. (e.g. glass) 
Xylene Solvent can be used to clean up spray tips, paint brushes (meths is not strong enough) and to remove cured/dry coating.
